About Me

Most people want to find a counselor that they can relate to.  I am outgoing, love adventure, and practice mindfulness. I bring creativity and relaxation into my sessions. I love getting to collaborate with my clients so we can work together to meet their goals.  I want to help find ways to empower my clients to live their best life.

I have been in the helping fields for over 9 years. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2012 from Cazenovia College and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016 from Syracuse University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I am a trained EMDR therapist and a Registered Play Therapist. Lastly, I received my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, where I received advanced training in counseling, play therapy, and supervision.

I have worked as an advocate for survivors of interpersonal violence (sexual abuse and/or physical abuse), people involved in the juvenile and/or criminal justice system, sexual offenders, people with trauma histories, children, teens, adults, couples, and families. A lot of my experiences center around working with LGBTQQIA+ kids and teens, (and by supporting their families, as needed) as well as with teens who are struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety, self-harming, and suicidal thoughts or attempts.  Additionally, I work with adults who have trauma histories, are in the LGBTQQIA+ communities, and who are struggling with various life and relationship issues. Culture and diversity are important to me- I want to respect you and your beliefs and values.
