I work collaboratively to help you get more in harmony with your mind, body, and the world around you. I draw from various approaches and center a social-justice and decolonized approach to Mental Health. This means that who we are, our identities, and life experiences are deeply a part of our work together. We will discuss power, privilege, and oppression in our sessions together.

With over ten years of experience in the helping professions, I have supported people from various identities and backgrounds to:

  • develop better coping skills
  • have more fulfilling relationships
  • live more content and balanced lives

Licensed Professional Counseling

Mental Health Counseling can go deeper into the underlying reasons for why you’re struggling. It can also help work on understanding past and current traumatic and/or stressful experiences. We’ll explore your struggles, what you want to be different, your innate strengths (yes we all have them!) and how to live a more balanced life. We will explore the different parts of yourself from a lens of compassion.

We can also explore if any mental health diagnoses may be right for you.

main counseling approaches that I am trained in:

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Helps you to practice mindfulness, learn relationship and social skills, increase ability to handle stress, and learn better coping skills.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). A structured approached to helping reduce trauma symptoms like nightmares, shame, anxiety, depression, and unwanted flashbacks/distressing memories.
  • Play Therapy. Helps folks of all ages to use creative ways to express what we might not have the words to express. Can include use of art, music, drawing, & sandtray.
  • Relational Cultural Therapy. A lot of our stress and trauma comes from relationships, and we need to heal in community, too.
  • Liberatory Harm Reduction. Centers your autonomy and choice to do what is right for you.

Mental Health Coaching

Mental Health Coaching, like counseling, focuses on improving wellbeing, understandiing yourself better, and learn new skills. While counseling focuses more on the past and present to understand struggles and ways to cope, coaching focuses more on the present and the future. In coaching sessions we will find your strengths together, set goals, and work to improve skills in various areas of your life. Coaching does not involve me giving a mental health diagnosis, however I may refer you for a diagnosis if we agree you need one.

Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy and Meditation

I deeply value the indigenous roots of yoga. Yoga is so much, and literally everyone can practice yoga. As a disabled yogi myself, I work with clients to find which aspects of yoga work for their mind and body.

As a personal practitioner of Patanjali’s 8-fold path for over ten years, I finally got certified as a yoga teacher in 2026. Yoga – including Pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and the physical postures are a profoundly healing practice. I offer small yoga group therapy and 1:1 sessions where we connect your mind and body. Our body stores and remembers our traumas and stressors. With these ancient Indian practices we can help reset and rebalance your nervous system. We will practice all areas of yoga together, to honor the sacred roots of the practice.
